Infineon Technologies AG has announced a new contract to supply Rivian's R2 platform with power modules for electric vehicle traction inverters. The agreement involves the use of Infineon's HybridPACK™ Drive G2 family, which includes silicon carbide (SiC) and silicon (Si) modules. Supply is set to commence in 2026, with Infineon also providing additional products such as AURIX™ TC3x microcontrollers and power management ICs. This partnership underscores Infineon's commitment to enhancing electric vehicle performance and range, reinforcing its position as a leading supplier in the automotive industry.
