Dampskibsselskabet NORDEN A/S has announced its first port logistics project in Australia, expanding its partnership with the Australian developer and operator of iron ore mining projects, Kimberley Metals Group (KMG). The project, located at the port of Wyndham in Western Australia, involves NORDEN providing additional assets for the existing transshipment operation, facilitating the loading of iron ore from the port onto barges and ultimately onto ocean-going vessels. This new agreement marks a significant step in NORDEN's strategic journey into logistics, enhancing its integrated freight solutions, and strengthening its customer relationships in the Australian market. The project also includes a fixed-term charter arrangement with an option to extend, with the first barge expected to launch in July.
