Warby Parker Inc. has announced a new partnership with Google to develop AI-powered smart glasses, marking Google's first eyewear collaboration for the Android XR platform. As part of this long-term partnership, Google has committed up to $150 million, which includes an equity investment in Warby Parker. This strategic alliance aims to combine Warby Parker's eyewear design expertise with Google's cutting-edge technology to create intelligent eyewear designed for all-day wear. The initial line of products, expected to launch after 2025, will feature multimodal AI with both prescription and non-prescription lenses.
