Trustmark Corporation has announced that the United States District Court for the Western District of Tennessee has terminated a Consent Order previously imposed on Trustmark National Bank. This order, originally put in place on October 22, 2021, by the U.S. Department of Justice and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, was related to allegations of violations of the Fair Housing Act, the Equal Credit Opportunity Act, and the Consumer Financial Protection Act in the Memphis area. The termination of the Consent Order comes 17 months ahead of its scheduled expiration date of October 27, 2026, following the bank's significant compliance and efforts to address the issues that led to the order. The related civil action has been dismissed with prejudice.
