Banco BBVA Argentina (BBAR) reported Q1 earnings late Wednesday of 384.03 Argentine pesos ($0.33) per American depository share, up from 265.51 pesos a year earlier.
Net interest income for the quarter ended March 31 was 541.33 billion pesos, down from 1.228 trillion pesos a year earlier.
One analyst polled by FactSet expected 562.23 billion pesos.
Shares of the company were up 3.4% in after-hours activity.
