Baidu (BIDU) reported Q1 non-GAAP earnings Wednesday of 18.54 Chinese renminbi ($2.57) per diluted American depositary share, down from 19.91 renminbi a year earlier.

Analysts polled by FactSet expected 14.38 renminbi.

Revenue for the quarter ended March 31 was 32.45 billion renminbi, up from 31.51 billion renminbi a year earlier.

Analysts surveyed by FactSet expected 31.03 billion renminbi.

The company's shares were up 2.2% in recent premarket activity.
