Trek Metals (ASX:TKM) has started pre-drill earthmoving and high-resolution magnetic surveying at its Christmas Creek Gold Project in Western Australia to refine drill locations, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The company expects the drill rig to arrive early next week and for reverse circulation drilling to begin in late May, the filing said.

Shares of the company rose 5% in recent Thursday trade.
