QBE Insurance Group (ASX:QBE) said that S&P Global Ratings has upgraded the financial strength and long-term issuer credit ratings of its core operating entities to "AA-" from "A+," with a stable outlook, according to a May 23 filing with the Australian bourse.

The ratings agency also raised the group's long-term issuer credit rating to "A" from "A-," the filing said.
