Ashok Leyland (NSE:ASHOKLEY, BOM:500477) recorded a rise in its consolidated attributable profit to 11.3 billion Indian rupees in the fiscal fourth quarter ended March 31, against 8.53 billion rupees a year ago.
Earnings per share came in at 3.84 rupees compared with the year-ago figure of 2.90 rupees, according to a Friday filing to the Indian stock exchanges by the commercial vehicles manufacturer.
Revenue from operations in fiscal Q4 also increased to 147.0 billion rupees from 135.4 billion rupees a year earlier.
The company's shares were down nearly 1% in recent trade.
