0302 GMT - Federal Reserve Bank of New York President John Williams says the level of reserves in the U.S. remains abundant despite "huge shocks" in the financial markets amid concerns about Trump tariffs. He says having a buffer that can absorb a market volatility would be good protection in the event of such shocks. "One of the things you definitely saw in April was a lot of flow between buyers and sellers," which means the markets were functioning well and is different from the dysfunction seen during the early pandemic, Williams says at a conference held at the Bank of Japan's headquarters in Tokyo.(megumi.fujikawa@wsj.com)
