Australian Federal Court judge Michael Lee flagged that it may be up to six months before a judgment is delivered in the Australian Securities and Investments Commission's money-laundering case against former executives and directors of The Star Entertainment Group (ASX:SGR), The Australian reported on Wednesday.

The regulator is seeking millions of dollars in fines against former The Star Entertainment chief executive Matt Bekier, company secretary Paula Martin, and former chairs John O'Neill and Benjamin Heap, for alleged breach of anti-money laundering rules.

It is also seeking fines against former directors Sally-Anne Pitkin, Kathleen Lahey, Gerard Bradley, Wallace Sheppard, and Zlatko Todorcevski.

The judge added that if he believed that delivering the judgment would be significantly delayed after September, then he may pronounce orders related to the case, followed by the reasons, at a later date.
