Askari Metals to Carry Out Exploration Programs at Namibia Lithium Project, Shares Fall 7%

Askari Metals (ASX:AS2) said it designed and planned phase one exploration programs for its license EPL7626 within the Uis lithium project in Namibia, including mapping, rock chip sampling, and a soil geochemical sampling campaign, according to a Tuesday ASX filing.

It recently completed an in-house remote sensing study over the area identified zones exhibiting spectral signatures consistent with tin-tantalum pegmatite-hosting mica schists.

The results from the first phase soil geochemical sampling program on the area will be analyzed with a follow-up infill program.

Its shares fell 7% in recent trading on Tuesday.
