Air New Zealand's (NZE:AIR, ASX:AIZ) group capacity fell 2.2% year on year in April, according to a Friday filing with the Australian and New Zealand bourses.
Long-haul available seat kilometers (ASKs) fell 2.3%, domestic ASKs dropped 3.8%, and short-haul international ASKs declined 1.1% year on year.
The country's flagship airline carried over 1.2 million passengers in April, down 4.3% on the year-earlier period, per the filing.
The passenger load factor was about 84%, an improvement from a little over 82% a year earlier.
The company's shares in the New Zealand bourse were down nearly 1% in recent Friday trade.
