Standard Chartered (HKG:2888) repurchased 775,661 shares in London on Thursday at a volume-weighted average price of around 11.62 pounds sterling apiece, a Friday filing with the Hong Kong bourse said.

The British lender plans to cancel the shares, after which it will have 2,348,649,967 shares in issue.
