Philippines' producer price index (PPI) for manufacturing edged up 0.1% year on year in April, softer than the 0.6% rise in the month prior, data from the Philippine Statistics Authority showed on Friday.
In April 2024, the index had slid 0.7%.
The softer increase was driven mainly by a slower annual rate of the PPI for the manufacture of computer, electronic and optical products industry division at 1.3% in April versus a 0.9% rise in the month before, the data showed.
