--The lubricants business could sell for between $8 billion and $10 billion, and BP has already sent information on the unit to other bidders such as Brookfield Asset Management and Stonepeak Partners, according to the report.
--Representatives for BP, Apollo, Lone Star, Brookfield and Stonepeak declined to comment, while a representative for Reliance didn't immediately respond to a request for comment, Bloomberg says.
