Electrovaya (ELVA) said Tuesday that it has received purchase orders totaling roughly $6.3 million from an end customer through its original equipment manufacturer sales channel.

The same end customer, which is a Fortune 100 e-commerce company, had placed orders of more than $16 million during the current fiscal year, the company said.

The customer will use the batteries for powering material handling electric vehicles in multiple distribution centers.

Electrovaya also said that additional orders are under consideration.
