Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were higher on Wednesday morning, up 1.3% to 2,288.61 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by beverage company Chagee (CHA) and bitcoin miner Cango (CANG), which advanced 5.6% and 5.5%, respectively.
They were followed by e-commerce and tech giant Alibaba (BABA), which climbed 3.1%.
The decliners from North Asia were led by education technology company Ambow Education (AMBO) and financial technology firm AMTD Digital (HKD), which fell 2.9% and 1.9% respectively.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by housing finance company HDFC Bank (HDB), which rose 1%.
The decliners from South Asia were led by consulting and IT services company Infosys (INFY), which was shedding 0.4%.
