Black Cat Syndicate (ASX:BC8) said it has mined around 497,000 tonnes of ore to date at the Myhree open pit, part of the Kal East gold project in Western Australia, and mining is progressing at 75 meters below surface, according to a Wednesday Australian bourse filing.
Pre-strip at the Boundary open pit at the project was completed to 15 meters below surface and the ore is currently being stockpiled. It has received safety approvals for the Fingals open pit, while environmental approvals are currently being assessed. It is conducting grade control drilling at Fingals.
It has begun the dewatering process at the Majestic underground target and it is on target for portal development in July.
Around 140,000 tonnes of ore from the Myhree open pit was processed at the Lakewood processing facility with recoveries of greater than 95%. It conducted a planned maintenance shutdown at the facility between May 20 and May 22.
