CHN Energy Changyuan Electric Power (SHE:000966) generated 2.97 billion kilowatt hours of electricity in May, down 1.1% from the previous year.
Thermal power generation rose 1.8% year on year to 2.58 billion kilowatt hours, according to a Wednesday filing with the Shenzhen bourse. Hydropower generation fell 43% to 107 million kilowatt hours and new energy generation ticked up 0.9% to 274 million kilowatt hours.
From January to May, total output was down 5.0% to 14.2 billion kilowatt hours.
Shares of the power company slid 1% in recent trade.
