Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts opened the week slightly lower Monday morning, declining 0.18% to 2,239.86 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by automotive marketplaces Cango (CANG) and financial services company CNFinance (CNF), which rose 7% and 6.9% respectively. They were followed by Token Cat (TC) and online education company 51Talk Online Education Group (COE), which were up 5.3% and 2.5% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by media company Phoenix New Media (FENG) and solar project developer Emeren Group (SOL), which fell 5.5% and 3.6% respectively. They were followed by financial services company Shinhan Financial Group (SHG) and thin-film liquid display maker LG Display (LPL), which dropped 3% and 2.8% respectively.
From South Asia, the lone gainer was tech conglomerate Sea (SE), which increased 1.2%.
The decliners from South Asia were led by IT firms Infosys (INFY) and Wipro (WIT), which were down 0.6% and 0.5% respectively. They were followed by pharmaceutical company Dr. Reddy's Laboratories (RDY) and financial services company ICICI Bank (IBN), which were off 0.4% and 0.2%, respectively.
