Geely Automobile Holdings Limited announced its total sales volume for May 2025, which amounted to 235,208 units, marking an impressive increase of approximately 46% compared to the same period last year. The Geely brand alone sold 188,670 units, reflecting a 57% year-on-year increase. Notably, the Galaxy sub-brand experienced remarkable growth with sales of 101,845 units, a 273% increase from the previous year. ZEEKR saw a modest 2% increase with 18,908 units sold, while LYNK & CO's sales rose by 27% to 27,630 units. Year-to-date figures also showed strong performance, with a total of 1,173,144 units sold, a 49% increase from the previous year. Battery electric vehicles (BEVs) and plug-in hybrid electric vehicles (PHEVs) played a significant role in this growth, with BEVs experiencing a 178% increase and PHEVs a 76% rise in sales compared to the previous year. However, export sales decreased by 20% for the month, with a year-to-date decline of 12%. Proton, a part of Geely's portfolio, achieved a sales volume of 14,260 units in May 2025, representing a 14% increase year-on-year. However, its cumulative sales volume for the first five months of 2025 was 65,684 units, which is approximately 3% lower than the same period last year.
