Sumitomo Chemical Co. Ltd. has announced a significant corporate reorganization set to take effect on July 1, 2025. The reorganization aims to enhance coordination within the company's display materials market. The color resist business will be transferred from the Electronic Materials Division to the newly named Display Materials Division, previously known as the Optical Materials Division. A new Display Chemicals Marketing Department will be established. Additionally, the Global Marketing Department will be split into two new units: the Mobile Display Materials Marketing Department and the Automotive Display Materials Marketing Department. This restructuring reflects the diversification of polarizing film applications. Concurrently, the Electronic Materials Division will be renamed the Semiconductor Materials Division. The changes include renaming several departments to better align with their respective responsibilities.
