Renovaro (RENB) said Tuesday that its BioSymetrics unit received a notice of allowance from the US Patent and Trademark Office for a new patent application.

The patent protects novel methods for integrating and harmonizing diverse biomedical data sources in a framework for predictive modeling, according to Renovaro.

Shares of the company jumped 8.8% in recent trading.
