LG Energy Solution (KRX:373220) started large-scale mass production of pouch-type lithium iron phosphate (LFP) batteries for energy storage systems (ESS) at its Holland, Michigan plant, the battery manufacturer said in a Monday press release.

These batteries offer strong energy efficiency, safety, and price competitiveness, with confirmed supply deals to New York-based clean energy firm Terra-Gen and Atlanta-headquartered airline Delta, the release said.
