Cal-Maine Foods, Inc. (NASDAQ: CALM) has announced the completion of its acquisition of Echo Lake Foods. The all-cash transaction, initially announced in April, was finalized for approximately $258 million, with an expected tax benefit reducing the effective purchase price to around $230 million. Echo Lake Foods, known for its ready-to-eat egg products and breakfast foods, reported annual revenues of approximately $240 million in 2024 with a notable five-year CAGR of about 10%. Cal-Maine Foods aims to leverage this acquisition to expand its product portfolio and customer base, citing strategic synergies and growth opportunities.
