United Breweries (NSE:UBL, BOM:532478) said it will shut its brewery in Mangalore, Karnataka, effective June 30, as part of a capacity consolidation, according to a Monday filing on the local bourse.

The company is expanding its Nanjangud facility in Mysuru to improve supply chain efficiency and meet future demand.

It said the closure will not impact its business performance in Karnataka and pledged support for affected employees.
