Singapore shares closed marginally higher on Tuesday, mirroring regional indices, amid optimism over a potential dialogue between the US and China to resolve their tariffs dispute.
The Straits Times Index ranged between 3,877.05 and 3,902.50 throughout the day. It ended the session at 3,894.38, up 3.79 points or 0.1% compared to Monday's close.
In corporate news, shares of Global Invacom (SGX:QS9) surged over 22% after the company was awarded a $3.8 million contract to supply XRJ transceivers to a Middle Eastern customer.
Oxley (SGX:5UX) was up over 1% as the company secured a sales arrangement for 100 units at SO/Residences, KLCC worth around SG$67 million.
