0042 GMT - It's been a bruising run for Australian lithium stocks but Morgan Stanley analyst Rahul Anandfinds reasons to be positive. MS has overweight calls on Mineral Resources and Pilbara Minerals. The bank's bullishness reflects strong momentum in electric-vehicle sales in China, up some 51% on year between January and April. "Lithium's woes have come from too much supply rather than a shortage of demand," says MS of prices of the commodity. "Excess supply is driving the weakness, meaning cuts are needed to drive a rebound." (david.winning@wsj.com; @dwinningWSJ)
