HSBC (HKG:0005) repurchased 4,597,884 shares on Friday, according to a Monday disclosure to the Hong Kong bourse.
The lender repurchased 1,952,284 shares in the UK at an average price of 8.76 pounds sterling apiece and 2,645,600 shares in Hong Kong for about HK$92.01 per share.
HSBC has so far repurchased 117,191,165 shares for $1.36 billion since the current buyback program started May 6.
Following the cancellation of repurchased shares in the UK, the bank will have 17,569,560,172 ordinary shares with voting rights.
