FactSet Research Systems (FDS) said Tuesday it has appointed Sanoke Viswanathan as chief executive officer, effective in early September, succeeding Phil Snow.

Snow will retire as CEO but has agreed to remain as a senior adviser through the end of the year to support the transition, the company said.

Viswanathan most recently served as CEO of JPMorgan's (JPM) International Consumer and Wealth division.
