Hazer Group (ASX:HZR) said Chubu Electric Power and Chiyoda Corporation have completed a pre-feasibility study at the planned hydrogen and graphite production facility in Japan, according to a Monday filing with the Australian bourse.

Chubu has begun engaging potential graphite offtakers, while project partners explore funding options, including Japanese government decarbonization initiatives, the filing said.

The facility will utilize the proprietary Hazer technology to produce 2,500 tonnes of clean hydrogen and graphite per year.
