Qualcomm (QCOM) said Thursday it has finalized the acquisition of Autotalks, an Israel-based fabless semiconductor company that specializes in vehicle-to-everything communications.
Financial terms were not provided.
The Israeli chipmaker develops hardware that enables direct communication between vehicles, infrastructure, and other road users, using both DSRC and cellular standards, Qualcomm said.
The company said the deal adds Autotalks' automotive-qualified vehicle-to-everything products to Qualcomm's Snapdragon Digital Chassis portfolio and is expected to support wider use of safety communications technology in connected and automated vehicles.
