Locksley Resources (ASX:LKY) secured a drilling permit for the El Campo prospect within the Mojave project in the US, according to a Thursday filing with the Australian bourse.

The program is the first subsurface exploration at the prospect, aiming to expand on previously reported rock chip assays of up to 12.1% total rare earth oxides and 3.19% neodymium-praseodymium, the filing said.

The drilling is expected to start in the September quarter, according to the filing.
