Medibank and Ramsay Health Care have announced a partnership aimed at enhancing mental health care services. The collaboration seeks to accelerate innovative care models and expand patient choices, with Medibank customers benefiting from more options on how and where they receive quality care from Ramsay. The initiative will support access to innovative psychotherapy programs for eligible customers with acute mental health conditions, allowing patients to continue their treatment in the community with support from Ramsay nurses and psychologists. Ramsay Health Care Australia CEO Carmel Monaghan emphasized that this joint effort with Medibank will modernize the delivery and funding of health care, strengthening the private health system and delivering better outcomes for Australians. Medibank Chief Customer Officer Milosh Milisavljevic noted that the partnership is crucial in addressing the growing mental health needs and improving outcomes, access, and experiences for their customers.
