Manulife Financial's (HKG:0945, PSE:MFC) Hong Kong unit will redomicile to Hong Kong from Bermuda under the city's redomiciliation law, effective November, according to a notice on its website Friday.

The redomiciliation legislation allows companies to set themselves up in the city while maintaining their legal identity and business continuity.

The move makes Manulife (International) the second insurer to incorporate itself in Hong Kong after AXA, the South China Morning Post reported separately.
