Privately held cloud systems integrator Route 101 said Friday it was awarded a contract to modernize contact centre operations for the UK Department for Work and Pensions, in partnership with NICE (NICE), whose CXone Mpower platform will power the new system.
The project will support more than 40,000 agents and overhaul both phone and digital services. It also advances the UK government's push for data sovereignty and digital modernization by migrating DWP from legacy on-premise infrastructure to a compliant, cloud-based platform.
Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed.
