Costco Wholesale (COST) reported late Wednesday that net sales for the retail month of May, the four weeks ended June 1, rose 6.8% to $20.97 billion from last year.

Net sales for the first 39 weeks increased 8% to $201.02 billion from a year ago, the company said.
