Chevron's (CVX) Chevron USA and Halliburton (HAL) have jointly developed a new autonomous fracturing process enabling closed-loop, feedback-driven completions in Colorado, Halliburton said Thursday.

The intelligent system integrates automated stage execution with real-time subsurface feedback to optimize energy delivery into the wellbore, eliminating the need for human intervention. Halliburton said the new approach enhances prior applications of autonomous hydraulic fracturing.
