0407 GMT - The overall competitive environment is unlikely to alter significantly, considering the current stance of the government and the market against excessive market competition, Nomura analysts write in a note. The analysts believe only the format of competition is likely to see some changes. While price cuts may no longer be as effective a tool as it was before, Nomura expects more new and facelift models with upgraded functions and equipment to be launched by active EV players, they say. BYD remains Nomura's sector top pick as they believe its market-leading position remains intact. The company will likely continue to maintain its edge in technology and business scale.
