Power Grid Corp. of India (NSE:POWERGRID) BOM:532898) said Friday it commissioned its fiber optic communication project in the Western Region under the Master Communication Plan, according to a same-day Indian bourse filing.

The project became operational on May 17, and confirmation of its commercial operation was received on June 6, the company said.
