Parsons Corporation has secured a $94.5 million task order under the Air Base Air Defense (ABAD) contract, marking new work for the company. This task order includes a 12-month base year and two 12-month options to deliver command-and-control and early warning capabilities for the U.S. Air Forces in Europe and Africa. The project will focus on integrating, testing, fielding, and sustaining these capabilities, aiming to enhance defense against a range of threats. According to Mike Kushin, president of Defense and Intelligence for Parsons, the company's solutions are designed to rapidly detect and counter various threats, ensuring constant protection for the U.S. Air Force. The ABAD effort emphasizes developing an all-domain system using both commercial and government technologies to protect air bases. Parsons' expertise spans space operations, cyber systems, and ground-based command and control, promising to support decision-making in various environments.
