Omega Oil & Gas (ASX:OMA) will pay Canadian oil and gas explorer TAG Oil $1 million to terminate a legacy royalty deed on its Queensland assets, according to a Tuesday filing with the Australian bourse.

The royalty granted TAG Oil a 3% gross overriding royalty on future liquids production from Omega's Bowen Basin tenements, the filing said.
