Avista (AVA) said late Monday that it and Walmart (WMT), Clearwater Paper (CLW), Idaho Forest Group and Idaho Public Utilities Commission have reached a settlement agreement with regard to electric and natural gas general rate cases.
If approved, the settlement will increase annual base electric revenue by $19.5 million, or 6.3%, effective Sept. 1, and by $14.7 million, or 4.5%, effective Sept. 1, 2026, the company said.
For natural gas, the settlement agreement would increase annual base natural gas revenue by $4.6 million, or 9.2%, effective Sept. 1, and reduce base revenue by about $200,000, or 0.4%, effective Sept. 1, 2026, the company said.
Avista President and Chief Executive Heather Rosentrater said the agreement provides the company "with the opportunity to earn a fair return in Idaho while we invest in and maintain our infrastructure."
