Asian equities traded in the US as American depositary receipts were edging up on Thursday morning, up 0.1% to 2,315.75 on the S&P Asia 50 ADR Index.
From North Asia, the gainers were led by mobile data traffic sharing marketplace uCloudlink (UCL) and financial services company CNFinance (CNF), which advanced 8.4% and 6.2% respectively.
They were followed by biopharmaceutical company Zai Lab (ZLAB) and e-commerce company Dingdong (DDL), which climbed 5.3% and 3.9% respectively.
The decliners from North Asia were led by gaming company DoubleDown Interactive (DDI) and financial services platform Yiren Digital (YRD), which fell 13% and 11% respectively.
They were followed by electric vehicle manufacturer Xpeng (XPEV), which dropped 4%.
From South Asia, the gainers were led by technology company Wipro (WIT) and pharmaceutical company Dr Reddy's Laboratories (RDY), which added 0.5% and 0.4% respectively.
The decliners from South Asia were led by HDFC Bank (HDB), which was easing 0.3%.
