Sunrun Inc., the leading provider of clean energy as a subscription service in America, has announced a significant energy initiative to support the nation's power grid. The company is set to activate over 130,000 home batteries, which accounts for more than two-thirds of its total battery fleet, to bolster grid reliability during peak demand periods this summer. Through its innovative subscription model, Sunrun can aggregate and manage hundreds of thousands of home batteries, dispatching 650 megawatts of peak power-enough to supply electricity to 480,000 homes-at critical times daily. This initiative comes as part of Sunrun's ongoing efforts to address America's rising energy demands and ensure grid stability amid increasing climate-related challenges.
