Angkor Resources Corp.'s Cambodian subsidiary, EnerCam Resources Co. Ltd., has announced an extension target for seismic and oil exploration on the northeast side of Block VIII. The team has identified the Kampot North basin, part of a 300 square kilometer area, as a promising site for further exploration. EnerCam is adjusting its 350-line kilometer 2D seismic program to include several lines across this basin, which is consistent in age and depth with adjacent hydrocarbon-rich basins. This strategic adjustment aims to maximize data collection from potential oil-bearing basins across the license. Equipment import has been approved, and the team is awaiting customs clearance on the Thai side of the border to proceed.
