Kratos Defense & Security Solutions, Inc. has been awarded a $25 million task order to support the U.S. Space Force's Evolved Strategic Satellite Communications (SATCOM) system. Under the Command and Control System-Consolidated (CCS-C) Sustainment and Resiliency contract, Kratos will utilize its OpenSpace® Platform to enhance ground system capabilities for Nuclear Command, Control, and Communications (NC3). The initiative aims to ensure resilient satellite communications across all operational environments. The 34-month project, commencing in March 2025, will involve establishing infrastructure for out-of-band telemetry, tracking, and command, as well as developing a roadmap for software and micro-services implementation. This task order is part of a larger indefinite delivery/indefinite quantity (IDIQ) contract with a maximum value of $579 million.
