Honeywell International Incorporation has secured a significant contract with Bell Textron Inc. to supply its advanced technologies for the U.S. Army's Future Long-Range Assault Aircraft (FLRAA). The deal involves providing a modified version of Honeywell's proven 36-150 auxiliary power units (APUs) and the Honeywell Attune™ system. The 36-150 APU will enhance the aircraft's mission readiness and flexibility by offering a secondary source of electrical and hydraulic power. Meanwhile, the Honeywell Attune™ system, known for its lightweight and low-maintenance design, will provide efficient thermal management, utilizing environmentally-friendly Solstice zd refrigerant. These technologies align with aviation industry trends and promise to support FLRAA's long-range, high-speed transport capabilities well into the future. Honeywell has a history of delivering reliable APUs, with over 10,000 units already in service across various applications, including the Army's UH-60 Black Hawk and AH-64 Apache helicopters.
