BlockBeats News, on June 16, Protos disclosed that U.S. prosecutors have filed a motion to prevent expert witnesses for Tornado Cash founder Roman Storm from testifying. Prosecutors described them as a "Trojan horse," claiming they would waste the jury's time and confuse jurors about the concepts of privacy, tokenomics, and KYC. This implies that Roman Storm's defense team will need additional time to respond to an extensive set of documents aimed at dismissing eight defense arguments. Prosecutors even opposed a two-day extension.

Additionally, it has been reported that the U.S. Department of Justice has dropped the "unlicensed money transmission" charge against Roman Storm and is no longer categorizing Tornado Cash as a "financial institution," while still maintaining the money laundering charges. Roman Storm's trial is expected to commence on July 14 in New York, with both Vitalik and the Ethereum Foundation expressing their support for him.
